This bathroom has no natural light and before its
transformation into this cool, green mosaic sanctuary was a grim room with worn 1970s'
sanitaryware and no storage at all.
The client wanted a modern design that would make the room look and feel bigger - it measures
just 8ft by 6ft across. There was not space to install a separate shower, so I put a power shower
over the bath.
The client wanted coloured glass mosaic tiles and I chose green
over blue so the room wouldn't resemble a swimming pool.
I designed a bank of tall but slim mirror-fronted cupboards to run the length of the room,
which means they can keep all of their toiletries and their children's bath toys out of sight.
I chose a wall-mounted loo and basin to keep the floor space clear and a tall wall-mounted towel
rail that also emits sufficient heat to keep the room warm.
